Enter The Brush Company “My Favorite Brush” Video Competition. Make a 30 second or one minute testimonial about your favorite makeup brush by the brush company and why you love it!

The best video submissions covering brush use, brush type, brush set and general testimonials accepted from students as well as the general community, will be featured on The Brush Company website. Prize includes: one brush set of your choice.

The DEADLINE for submissions is November 15, 2008.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

All entries must be submitted in .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, .MPEG and .MP4 formats.
Entries may be uploaded to video site listed below in entry form and submitted via link or you may mail your submission via DVD to: The Brush Company 626 S. Victory Blvd. Burbank, CA 91502-2423

All entries must be clearly marked with title. Title should be displayed on the DVD as well as on the accompanying case.
No copyrighted material may be used in contest submissions without written approval of the lawful owner of the material.
All cast and crew members must be credited properly on the DVD.
There are no language or geographic restrictions. However, if a language other than English is spoken, subtitles must be used.
There is no entry fee or maximum number of entries per contestant.
A completed entry form must accompany each submission. More than one video may be submitted per DVD. However, each title should be clearly marked on the DVD.
Submissions will be judged in two categories:

A. Student (Youth - Grades 6 to 12)

B. Community (the General Public / non-students)

Winners will be selected by a panel of cosmetics industry professionals.

The Brush Company General Contest Rules

Introduction: By participating in a contest sponsored by The Brush Company, you agree to the specific rules, terms and conditions provided for that particular contest as stated, either in addition to or in place of the Official General Contest Rules given here.

1. Eligibility and Odds of Winning:

a. No purchase necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve chances of winning.

b. You cannot win if you are an employee of The Brush Company, affiliates, immediate family members of anyone so situated. “Immediate family members” shall include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws”, or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related.

c. Odds of winning this contest are determined by number of entries and specific structure.

d. Participation, DVD release, photos and testimonials in the contest is the responsibility of the contestant.

e. The Brush Company reserves the right to disqualify participants who do not adhere to these official contest rules. Prizes will not be awarded, even if announced, if the contestant is not eligible in accordance with these rules. Persons who provide fraudulent contest entry information will be disqualified.

i. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

The Brush Company, their subsidiaries and affiliates, their officers, directors, agents, stockholders, insurers, and employees, and their advertising and promotional agencies and sponsors assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss or injury resulting from participating in any contest or acceptance or use of any prize.

l. Mail Entries: If a contest accepts email or mail entries (postal or electronic), The Brush Company is not responsible for the late, misdirected, lost, misplaced, illegible, mutilated or postage-due entries for any reason, including electronic or computer malfunctions that may affect the delivery or content of the entry, nor are they liable for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer or hardware related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the contest.

m. Web Site Entries: In the event that the contest accepts website entries, you must accurately complete all required fields or entry will be deemed invalid. The Brush Company shall have no liability for any malfunction of the Internet, or any other computer-related processor system.

a. Prizes are specified within individual contest rules.

b. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

c. No substitution or cash equivalent will be made.

4. How to Claim Prize(s):

a. Winners will be selected as described in the specific rules of the contest.

5. Prize Winners Shipping and Tracking:

a. In the event that a prize is mailed to you, pursuant to your prior written consent, you assume the risk of the prize’s safe arrival. Prize winner will be given a tracking number for verification purposes.

b. Signing for the prize(s) indicates you have received the prize(s), abide by these rules, and the publicity disclaimer. Prize is forfeited upon refusal to sign or provide required information.

c. The Brush Company reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award unclaimed prizes to alternate contestants or not to award the unclaimed prizes.

d. Any additional costs relating to the prizes, and incurred as a result of accepting the prizes, is your sole responsibility as the winner.

e. ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS.
